SSSHHH!

Imagine that you're hearing me in my best whisper
.....we're 18 1/2 weeks seizure free! That's seizure free through strep throat, 3 weeks of a nasty cold including 2 weeks of heavy coughing and an ear infection..... I'm whispering because in some weird way, I don't want to jinx this. If I say it out loud or yell it to the sky, which is exactly what I want to do, then what might happen??? Whatever comes tonight, tomorrow and the next day.......... it's been a great ride! It's nice not to look out of the corner of my eye each moment. It's wonderful to allow Noah to walk into another room without following. It's amazing to sleep deeply and not be in the sleeping stage where I'm listening to his every breath. I know you all relate. I'm praying for continued success for Noah and for all of your children too!

Oh, Cathy, that's WONDERFUL!!! I can't believe you waited until 18 1/2 weeks before you posted anything, even if you don't want to jinx things! Wishing you many, many more seizure-free weeks!

Congrats, I'm wondering if you've had problems with your son gaining too much weight? My guy has gained 5 pounds in 4 months....

Suzanne - Noah gained 4 lbs. in the first 2 months. It was a sign for us and our keto team that his caloric intake was too high. We lowered his intake and actually that helped us gain seizure control. Too many calories can hinder seizure control. Soooo many intricate fine tuning mechanisms at work on this diet!
